[0001] The present invention relates to an apparatus for cutting food, especially fruit or vegetables, for use in the preparation of food, especially for slicing or grating. This type of hand-held device is commonly called a mandolin. Document EP1410882 is particularly known, a food cutting apparatus, in particular fruit or vegetables having a base in which is arranged a cutting plate provided with a cutting blade and a handle slidably arranged on the based. The handle has a housing for receiving the food to be cut. To cut the food, the user pushes the food using the handle against the cutting blade in a back and forth motion. However, the receiving housing is small and does not always ensure a good maintenance of the food to be cut. Thus, the user is encouraged not to use the handle and to maintain and move directly the food to be cut above the cutting blade. Such use can lead to accidents, including cuts in the fingers and is therefore particularly dangerous. In addition, such a cutting apparatus does not cut long foods, for example cucumbers or carrots slices. Indeed, the shape of the receiving housing only allows vertical positioning of long foods above the cutting blade. In addition, cut food falls on the worktop. The user may optionally have under the cutting blade a collection tank cut food of low height. However, such a mode of operation is not very ergonomic. The object of the present invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide a food cutting device having ergonomics optimized to allow the user to slice or grate food easily, safely. Another object of the invention is to provide a food cutting apparatus which is of simple design and economical to implement. Another object of the invention is to provide a food cutting apparatus 10 which can be cleaned and stored easily. These objects are achieved with a food cutting apparatus, in particular fruit or vegetables, having a base and at least one cutting blade, characterized in that the base comprises a food-receiving surface and a device guiding in translation of the cutting blade, intended to be moved back and forth by the user above the food. The food to be cut is deposited on the fixed receiving surface of the base and the cutting blade is movable. Thus, in use, the user's hand 20 operates the movable cutting blade and no longer moves with respect to this cutting blade. As a result, the risk of cutting the fingers is removed. Preferably, the base comprises means for holding the food on the receiving surface, these holding means advantageously being constituted by peaks. This arrangement makes it possible to immobilize the food to be cut on the receiving surface, in particular long food lying down.
[0002] Advantageously, the cutting blade is carried by a cutting drawer. Preferably, the cutting blade is removably arranged on the cutting drawer.
[0003] 3036994 3 Removable or removable, it is understood that the cutting blade and the cutting drawer can be easily separated by the user, without the use of a tool.
[0004] Thus, the cutting blade can be exchanged with a cutting blade having a different geometry, for example for grating or tapering. Preferably, the cutting apparatus comprises a container forming with the cutting drawer 10 a collection tank for cut food. Thus, the cutting drawer and the cutting blade at least partially form the bottom of the tank.
[0005] This arrangement makes it possible to collect cut food in a closed tank, without risk of spreading it on the worktop. Such a food cutting device therefore has optimized ergonomics. Advantageously, the base comprises two edges which extend in a longitudinal direction and the guide device comprises two ramps which are respectively arranged above the edges and which extend in the longitudinal direction. The cutting blade is intended to cooperate with the ramps, in particular by sliding, to allow the user to put the cutting blade in motion over the food to be cut. Advantageously, the cutting drawer has two lateral guides intended to cooperate with the ramps.
[0006] This arrangement makes it possible to obtain a cutting drawer, which carries the cutting blade, movable in translation along the longitudinal axis and thus, the user can print to the cutting blade a movement back and forth to- above the food 3036994 4 to cut. Preferably, the ramps are vertically movable relative to the base, between a high output position and a retracted low position.
[0007] Advantageously, the ramps are movable in vertical translation. Thus, the position of the cutting drawer which is supported on the mobile ramps and on the food continuously adapts to the residual thickness of the food to be cut.
[0008] The distance between the receiving surface and the cutting drawer resting on the ramps in the retracted low position is close to zero and corresponds to a completely cut food. Advantageously, the ramps and the holding peaks are integral.
[0009] Thus, the peaks are movable at the same time as the ramps between a high output position and a retracted low position. In the high output position, the peaks have a maximum length of maintenance of the food that will be cut. As cutting progresses, the peaks will go from the high output position to the lowered retracted position and their length will thus adapt to the residual thickness of the food to be cut. In a slightly degraded mode of operation, the user can start cutting a very thick food by positioning the cutting drawer over the ramps. The peaks being in the high position of exit, they maintain the food well. Then, during the cutting of the food, the cutting drawer will come to bear on the movable ramps in particular to adjust the output position of the peaks to the residual thickness of the food.
[0010] Preferably, the cutting apparatus comprises a system for guiding the ramps in translation on the base, said guide system including columns, advantageously arranged near the edges of the base.
[0011] This arrangement makes it possible to obtain guidance in translation of the ramps in the base which is particularly simple, effective and economical to produce.
[0012] Advantageously, the receiving surface has perforations cooperating with the peaks. The guide system for translating the ramps on the base comprises the perforations and the peaks. In an alternative embodiment, the ramps each comprise a junction element with a plate, the base having vertical openings through which the junction elements pass. Advantageously, the translation guide system of the ramps on the base comprises the connecting elements and the vertical openings.
[0013] Advantageously, the base comprises means for returning the ramps to the upper output position, said return means being in particular spring means. This arrangement makes it possible to maintain contact between the cutting drawer and the ramps during the cutting of the food. Advantageously, the container has an outer face which forms a gripping portion.
[0014] This arrangement provides a compact cut food collection tank without additional gripping portion. Preferably, the container is removably arranged on the cutting drawer.
[0015] Thus, the container arranged on the cutting drawer forms a collection tank for cut food. The removable container of the cutting drawer makes it easy to empty the tank. This arrangement therefore makes it possible to obtain a device 3036994 for particularly ergonomic cutting with regard to the handling of cut food. In addition, the outer face of the container forming the gripping portion covers the cutting blade and renders it inaccessible to the hand of the user. The gripping portion has a large gripping surface for safe grip. Thus, there is obtained a cutting apparatus that can be used safely.
[0016] Advantageously, the cutting apparatus comprises a non-slip foot, in particular a suction cup. This arrangement makes it possible to use the cutting apparatus on any type of support, in particular smooth or wet, on which it could slide during its use. The invention will be better understood from the study of the embodiment taken in no way limiting and illustrated in the accompanying figures in which: Figure 1 illustrates an exploded perspective view of a cutting device according to a particular embodiment of the invention, the ramps and the peaks being in the upper output position. FIG. 2 illustrates a perspective view of the cutting device, along a direction II illustrated in FIG. 1, the ramps and the peaks being in the retracted low position.
[0017] FIG. 3 illustrates a perspective view of the cutting device, along the direction III illustrated in FIG. 1. FIG. 4 illustrates a schematic sectional view of the cutting device along the line IV-IV illustrated in FIG. According to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, a food cutting apparatus 1 comprises a base 2 provided with two ramps. 10, 11 guiding side to cooperate with a cutting spool 30 provided with a cutting blade 40. The base 2 has a parallelepipedal shape which comprises an upper flat surface forming a receiving surface 3 of the food to cut. A plate 20 (Figures 3 to 5) is arranged inside the base 2, 5 under the receiving surface 3. The plate 20 has peaks 21 formed by metal rods which extend upwardly through perforations 4 formed in the reception surface 3. The base 2 comprises two edges 5, 6 above which are arranged the ramps 10, 11. The ramps 10, 11 have a substantially rectangular section and extend longitudinally on the length of the base 2. The ramps 10, 11 comprise at each end a junction element 12, 13, 14, 15 with the plate 20. The connecting element 12, 13, 14, 15 is formed by a wire The edges 5, 6 comprise vertical openings 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b through which the connecting elements 12, 13, 14, 15 pass. The ramps 10, 11, the peaks 21 and the plate 20 form a set (Fig.S) which is mobile in translation worm relative to the base 2 between an upper outlet position (FIG. 1, 3 and 4) and a retracted low position (Fig.2). As can be seen in FIGS. 4 and 5, the base 2 comprises two columns 7, 8 of oblong section extending vertically from the receiving surface 3. The plate 20 comprises two openings 22, 23 intended to cooperate with the columns 7 8, as shown in FIG. 5, the base 2 comprises two lower half-covers 17a, 17b respectively comprising columns 19a and 19b of circular section. The base 2 comprises means for returning the assembly formed by the ramps 10, 11, the peaks 21 and the plate 20 in the upper output position. The return means comprise two springs 9a, 9b arranged around the two columns 19a, 19b arranged in two openings 25, 26. The two springs 9a, 9b bear on two shoulders 27, 28 of the plate 20 and on the base 3036994 8 lower half-covers 17a, 17b. The lower half-covers 17a, 17b have four non-slip feet 18 formed by suction cups. As seen in FIG. 1, the cutting apparatus 1 comprises a movable assembly 5 which is formed by the cutting slide 30 provided with the cutting blade 40 and a receptacle 50 and which is intended to cooperate with the ramps 10, 11 to allow the user to reciprocate the cutting blade 40 over the food to be cut, this assembly forms a collection tank 60 for the cut food.
[0018] The cutting drawer 30 has a substantially rectangular shape and has a lower face 31 and two downwardly extending lateral guides 32, 33 for cooperating with the ramps 10, 11.
[0019] The cutting blade 40 has a metal portion 41 and a frame 42. The frame 42 is obtained by an overmolding operation on the metal portion 41. The cutting blade 40 is detachably arranged in the cutting slide 30. The metal portion 41 has a cutting edge 43 protruding from the lower face 31 of the cutting slide 30 by a height e which determines the thickness of the blade. cut out part of the food. When the cutting spool 30 is placed on the ramps 10, 11, the ends of the peaks 21 are arranged at a distance d (FIG. 4) from the lower face 31 which is greater than the height e. The container 50 is arranged on the cutting drawer 30 detachably.
[0020] The container 50 includes an opening 53 which cooperates with an upper peripheral edge 34 of the cutting drawer 30 to form the collection container 60. Advantageously, the container 50 comprises a latch 51 movable between a locking position of the container 50 on the cutting drawer 30 and an unlocking position of the container 50 on the cutting drawer 30.
[0021] The container 50 has an outer face 52 which forms a gripping area of the collection tank 60.
[0022] 3036 994 9 In operation, the user plants the food to be cut on the peaks 21 until the latter is resting on the receiving surface 3. Then, the user chooses the cutting blade 40 corresponding to the type and then assembles the container 50 on the cutting drawer 30 to form the receiving tank 60 for cutting food. He grasps the external face 52 of the container 50 which acts as a gripping member, positions the lateral guides 32, 33 along the ramps 10, 11 and places the lower face 31 of the cutting slide 30 on the ramps 10, 11, above the food to be cut. He then presses the container 50 to translate the ramps 10, 11 downwards and thus bring the lower face 31 of the cutting slide 30 into contact with the feed. The cutting edge 43 of the cutting blade 40 is positioned in front of the food. The user moves in horizontal translation the assembly formed by the container 50 and the cutting drawer 30 provided with the cutting blade 40, which has the effect of slicing a thickness portion e of the food. The user then returns the assembly to the initial position. It presses on the container 50 to bring the lower face 31 of the cutting drawer 30 into contact with the food by translating the ramps 10, 11 and the peaks 21 downwards over a path 20 equal to the thickness e. The user will then repeat the movement back and forth as many times as necessary to completely cut the food whose cut pieces are collected in the tank 60.
[0023] Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described and illustrated which has been given by way of example only. Modifications are possible, in particular from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention. Thus, in an alternative embodiment, the cutting apparatus comprises a blocking member of the ramps and peaks in the upper output position to allow insertion of the peaks into the food to be cut when it is placed on the machine. reception area. In another variant embodiment, the system for guiding the ramps in translation on the base comprises guide rods for the plate.
